Come watch your California Golden Bears face off against their PAC 8 rivals and other West Coast Universities in their brand new uniforms! The 2012-2013 season features 11 Home Games highlighted by matches versus Stanford, USC, Utah, and Washington State. THE BIG FREEZE (Cal vs. Stanford) is scheduled for October 5th at 8:45PM and October 18th at 7:45PM. In addition, Cal will host Stanford on November 17th at the Cow Palace in Daly City.

Tickets are only $5 at the door or $5 if purchased in advance! With an abundance of new talent, including 4 freshman and a total of 11 new players, it is truly a new era for Cal Ice Hockey. Don’t miss a single game with our new season ticket options!

THE BEARS LAIR – ARENA

Cal’s home rink is the Oakland Ice Center, which is owned by the city of Oakland and operated by the NHL’s San Jose Sharks. The rink is located at 519 18th Street, Oakland, California. The Oakland Ice Center is a ten minute drive from campus, but there is also public transportation available. AC Transit is free for students and the BART is $3.50 round trip to Oakland Ice Center.

AC Transit:
Walk to the corner of Telegraph Ave and Dwight Way. The bus picks up on the west side of Telegraph, in front of the UPS Store.
Take the 1R line.
Ride for approximately 20 minutes.
Get off at the 20th Street, Oakland stop.
Make a right off the bus and head west for half a block on 20th Street towards Telegraph Avenue.
Make a left on Telegraph Avenue and head south for two blocks.
Make a right on 18th Street and head west for half a block.
Oakland Ice Center will be on the left.

BART:
Walk to the Downtown Berkeley BART station on Shattuck Avenue between Allston Way and Center Street.
Take either the orange (Fremont) or red (Daly City or Millbrae) BART lines
Exit at 19th Strret, Oakland station.
Head west on 19th Street towards Telegraph Avenue for one block.
Turn left on Telegraph Avenue and head south for one block.
Make a right on 18th Street and head west for half a block.
Oakland Ice Center will be on the left.
