Tryout info:
I am already a Cal student:
If you are currently enrolled at UC Berkeley and would like to try out for the hockey team contact Dan Sulitzer. Our team will hold tryouts on August 27th, 2009 at 2:00 PM and August 29th, 2009 at 3:45 PM at the Oakland Ice Center. Tryouts will be $50 for both days for all participants. If you are interested in playing it is important to contact one of the recruiters prior to applying to Cal, or if you’re already a student prior to the begining of the season. Email Dan Sulitzer if you plan on applying to Cal but have not done so yet. If you have been accepted to Cal and or have already been enrolled contact Dan Sulitzer. Most of your questions can probably be answered in the Requiting FAQ for non-Cal students.

Even though we have the Marching Band at our games, fly around in jet planes, and have cool looking jerseys, Cal Ice Hockey is still a club sport.
We are students who play ice hockey because we choose to, not athletes who go to class because we have to. So, you ought to look here first… Recruiting FAQ for potential players and fans.
Now that you’ve got some answers, you can make the decision to apply to Cal. You’ll have to meet Cal’s academic requirements for admission.

If you have already applied to Cal, that’s a big start. If it is still before mid January of the year you hope to attend, email Daniel Sulitzer. If you play close enough to us, we’ll do our best to scout you. If it is after January of the year you hope to attend, we wish you luck in getting accepted and encourage you to let us know what happens.
